My journey with the MX-5 has spanned the last decade, and in that time I've travelled across the country and indeed the world to work with like-minded individuals who enjoy pushing this platform to its limit.
That's where we are now: my personal car is an extension of about as much as you can do to an MX-5 and it still have it usable on the road. Fully seam-welded, with just about every nut and bolt replaced, along with a driveline it didn't come with and an engine developed between myself and BOFI Racing, we now have a 180mph-capable, 420bhp 1994 MX-5.
This certainly is not for everyone; frankly, it wasn't even for me years ago - but down the rabbit hole we went.
